Patagonia Mountain Guide School Application

Welcome to the Mountain Guide School, and the first step of the application process.

To give you a brief overview of what to expect after you fill in this form: You can expect a confirmation email from us shortly letting you know we received your application. Before confirming a place on the course, we'd like to speak with you at some length about the course, your expectations, our expectations, and so forth. We'll try to set up a time to speak for about an hour within the next week.

After we've spoken, we'll send you an invitation to confirm your space on the course. Assuming you decide that the course is indeed the right one for you, your place is guaranteed upon receipt of a USD $2,500. non-refundable deposit.

Our course focuses on three main skills areas: Skiing, mountaineering, and rock/ice climbing. Ideally, our applicants are stong in one of the three areas, and have some experience in the other two. We are not looking for expert mountaineers, but for people who have a good amount of backcountry knowledge, enthusiasm, and a desire to share thier passion with others. Please don't hesitate to apply, even if you think you don't have enough experience to be accepted. At a minimum, we can give you some ideas of what you can do to strengthen your applicaiton.
